You have reached the website of Matt Thies. I am a wood sculptor residing in the Northwoods of Wisconsin where I work producing sculpted fine art, furniture and other wooden creations. I have been working with wood for as long as I can remember and also, to the best of my knowledge, hold the bloodline of my family’s fourth generation to be involved in the woodworking field. Over the years I have developed a strong connection and mindfulness of its wide variety of qualities and have adapted and evolved many woodworking techniques that I currently employ in my woodworking endeavors.

I was fortunate enough to see some of your work when staying with my boyfriend’s family in Colfax. I absolutely loved your sculpture, net, and box that you made that is in their residence. Are you still actively selling pieces?

I have a few smaller wall hangings available. I could do a commissioned piece for you if you were interested in getting one. Another option would be for me to sculpt a few to add to my portfolio and you could choose from them.
